The nutrient dynamics that affect the ecosystem health of selected lakes in the Province of Laguna will be investigated. The findings will be useful in developing integrated approaches to lake recovery from eutrophication and aquatic resource conservation. Policies and innovative strategies for the reduction of nutrient enrichment can then be developed. The science-based outcomes of this study on internal nutrient loading and dynamics in sediment-water interfaces will contribute to the long-term sustainability of the natural resources of lakes in the country.
